What is VidTrace?

VidTrace is a video management platform designed specifically for sports teams. It allows coaches and teams to upload, organize, tag, and share videos with team members. You can track athlete performance, add comments, and manage your entire video library in one secure place.

How do I get started?

Getting started is easy! Simply sign up for a free account, create your first club, and start uploading videos. The free tier includes 1GB of storage, 100MB max video size, and support for up to 3 members, so you can try VidTrace without any commitment.

What video formats are supported?

VidTrace supports all common video formats including MP4, MOV, AVI, and more. We recommend using MP4 format for the best compatibility and upload performance.

How does video tagging work?

Video tagging allows you to associate videos with specific athletes or team members. When you tag a video, only the tagged members (and coaches/admins) can see that video. This ensures privacy and helps organize your video library by athlete.

Can I be a member of multiple clubs?

Yes! You can be a member of multiple clubs with a single account. This is perfect for coaches who work with different teams or athletes who participate in multiple clubs. You can easily switch between clubs from your dashboard.

What are inactive members?

Inactive members are former team members (like athletes who have left the team) whose videos you want to keep in your library for historical purposes. Inactive members don't count toward your active member limit, allowing you to preserve your club's video history without affecting your subscription tier.

How secure is my data?

Security is a top priority for us. All videos are stored securely in the cloud with encryption. Access to videos is controlled through role-based permissions, and only authorized members of your club can view tagged content. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time from your club settings. When you cancel, you'll continue to have access to your plan features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your club will automatically move to the free tier.

What happens to my videos if I downgrade my plan?

If you downgrade to a plan with less storage, your existing videos will remain accessible. However, you won't be able to upload new videos until you free up space by deleting some videos or upgrading your plan again.

How do I invite team members?

Club admins and coaches can invite members by email. Simply go to your club's Members page, click 'Invite Member', and enter their email address. They'll receive an invitation email with instructions to join your club.

What's the difference between admin and coach roles?

Admins have full control over the club, including settings, billing, and member management. Coaches can upload videos, tag athletes, create groups, and manage comments, but cannot change club settings or billing. Regular members can view videos they're tagged in and add comments.

Is there a mobile app?

VidTrace is a web-based platform that works on all devices including smartphones and tablets. You can access VidTrace from any modern web browser on your mobile device for a responsive, mobile-friendly experience.

Can I export my videos?

Yes, you can download videos that you have access to. Simply navigate to the video you want to export and use the download option. This allows you to keep local backups of your important videos.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure payment processor, Stripe. All payments are processed securely and we never store your full payment details on our servers.
